I believe it’s important to be clear about counselling fees from the outset. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about the cost of sessions, how payment works, and how to find me.

Fees
Individual counselling sessions are 60 minutes long. Fees are as
follows:
Online sessions and Deeping St James £50 per session

If you are wondering how much counselling costs, I hope this gives you a clear picture.

Location
Deeping St James
My dedicated private counselling room is based in Deeping St James, Lincolnshire. It is easily accessible from Peterborough, Stamford, Bourne, Spalding and the surrounding areas of Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire.
Nottingham
I also see clients in person in Nottingham. My Nottingham practice is easily accessible on city bus routes, making it straightforward to reach without a car. I welcome clients from across the city and surrounding areas.
Online across the UK
Online counselling sessions take place via a secure video platform, from the comfort and privacy of your own home. Many people find online counselling works just as well as face-to-face — and for some, the distance actually makes it easier to speak openly. I offer online counselling for adults across the UK, including those looking for support with anxiety, low self-esteem and the lasting effects of a difficult or challenging childhood. If you are unsure whether online is right for you, we can discuss it during the free initial consultation.
Not sure whether in-person or online is right for you? Get in touch and we can talk it through – your first call is free.

Some things have been carried alone for so long they feel like they are just part of you. They do not have to be.
Fees and Location FAQs
For many people, investing in counselling is one of the most valuable decisions they make. Unlike some forms of support, counselling gives you dedicated time and space that is entirely focused on you, with no agenda other than your own wellbeing. The changes that come from this work tend to show up in the small things. Finally having a conversation you’ve been putting off for months. Noticing the familiar feeling starting and, instead of just going with it, thinking: actually, what do I want here. Getting to the end of a day without going over everything that might have gone wrong. These things sound small. For someone who has spent a long time not believing any of them were possible, they are anything but. The benefits extend far beyond the sessions themselves.
I don’t offer a free first session, but I do offer a free initial telephone consultation of around 15 to 20 minutes. This is a chance for us to talk through what has brought you to counselling, for me to explain how I work, and for us to explore together whether working with me feels like the right fit. There is no obligation to proceed after that call.
Some health insurance policies do cover private counselling, though this varies between providers and policies. It is worth checking directly with your insurer before we begin working together. I am happy to provide receipts for sessions if needed for an insurance claim.
